The people have spoken! Remember those half decade lists I was talking about and how the remarkable Kevin B. Lee started all this kerfuffle? Well, the esteemed video essayist has completed his daunting task in polling 290 film critics and cinephiles and the result is an incredibly impressive video essay counting down the top 25 films of the decade so far. We’d like to flatter ourselves and say that he looked at our own list, since eight of our picks showed up in the video essay ( Spring Breakers, Frances Ha, Before Midnight, Melancholia, The Social Network, Inside Llewyn Davis, Holy Motors, and The Tree of Life), but that’s a little preposterous, even for us. Hey, a film critic can dream, right? Anyways, take a look at his superb piece, presented by Fandor, and check out the full results of the poll here. You can also revisit our list over here. Also, feel free to let us know what was missing from our lists in the comment section below.
