While America was celebrating its independence over the weekend, the Dunne’s were celebrating their anniversary.
20th Century Fox has unveiled a new trailer for the David Fincher film, Gone Girl. Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike star as the Nick and Amy Dunne, who might just be celebrating their special day in an unusual fashion. Amy has gone missing and the police have their eyes on Nick as the guilty party.
The new trailer does an excellent job of stacking the cards against Nick Dunne. “Probably the most hated man in America” isn’t the most inviting way of starting an interview. Also, with what seems to be entries from Amy’s journal, Amy describes how she believed her marriage would be easier than everyone else’s, but has grown incredibly considered about how her husband treats her. The film adaptation is supposed to have a different third act compared to the book, which is probably for the best. With an exciting new role for Ben Affleck and with David Fincher behind the helm, Gone Girl is sure to be one the can’t miss films of the fall.
