The New York Film Festival has announced their selections for the 52nd annual festival. Well it seems as though they have done pretty well this year. They previously announced the big three films of the fest (Gone Girl, Inherent Vice, and Birdman), but now they have collected a splattering of Cannes and Sundance entries to bring to New York. Some of the more notable films that were announced include films from directors Assayas, Miller, Godard, Cronenberg, Leigh, Dardenne’s, and Ferrara. They’ve also brought Whiplash, the Sundance Film Festival winner, and The Wonders, which took home the Cannes Grand Prix Award.
There are a few notables missing including the Cannes winner Winter Sleep, but all in all it’s a fine selection of films that will certainly delight fans of cinema.

That’s a lineup I wouldn’t mind checking out live.
I hear that. A solid lineup by anyone’s standards.
