Thanks to the good folks over at PartnersHub, Movie Mezzanine is proud to host a Blu-ray giveaway for Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

In order to win a free copy of The Hobbit simply answer the question below. Unfortunately, Mezzanine was only given one copy to hand out. So act and answer quickly.

But first, some information:

The film was released on Blu-ray/DVD to the general public on Tuesday, March 19th. For those unfamiliar with the film, here’s a plot synopsis:

“J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic adventure follows the journey of Bilbo Baggins, who is swept into an amazing quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug.

Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakenshield. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Sorcerers.

From Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” the first of a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien.”

—

If interested, head on over to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey movie app.

To win the DVD simply answer the questions below:

What’s the title of the song the dwarves sing/chant in Bilbo’s home?

What’s the title/subject of the first article published on Movie Mezzanine?

And, did you like The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey? If so, why?

—

Answer the three questions above in the comment section to win the Blu-ray DVD.

    3. I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, it wasn’t quite as impressive as the Lord of the Rings, but there’s plenty there to enjoy and Bilbo was excellent throughout the whole movie, can’t wait for the next one.

    3. I enjoyed the movie a lot.. I read the book when I was in middle school so to see it acted out was pretty great..I also enjoyed how many frames per second it was shot in, it made the movie crisper, cleaner and a lot faster.

    3) This was really fun to watch even tough it was not quite LOTR. Still, the fighting scenes were attention grabbing and the filming was awesome. I certainly recommend it to those who liked LOTR (although you guys have probably all seen it by now!)

    3. I loved the books as a kid, and as an adult. They did take some liberties with the story, but overall I thought it was very good representation of the beginning of the story. Especially the riddle game between Bilbo & Gollum.
