Because no one in America goes to the movies to read, Sony has hired acclaimed author Dennis Lehane to adapt the Grand Jury Prize-winning French crime film A Prophet for American audiences.
Lehane is the author of such well regarded works as Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone, which in turn have been adapted into successful films. The remake will be produced by Neal H. Moritz. No director is attached.
