While prepping a rooftop location in Hong Kong, several crew members working on the latest Transformers film (which really should be called Trans4mers) were approached by four men (appropriate) who then demanded money from the crew (not appropriate). Fortunately, the crew was unharmed and called the police, who were able to arrest one of the men while the other three escaped.
This would be the second incident of attempted extortion the production has seen–last week, a similar attempt resulted in minor facial injuries to director Michael Bay.
The director remains unflappably cheery in light of all this, releasing a statement on his blog about how great a time they’re all having while out in Hong Kong.
