Following the release of the propaganda inspired poster earlier today, the trailer for The Interview starring James Franco and Seth Rogen has hit the web. The plot finds a talk show host (Franco) and his producer (Rogen) who score an interview with Kim Jong-Un, and are then asked by the CIA to assassinate the dictator.
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are directing from a script they co-wrote with Dan Sterling, and that’s good news because their 2013 debut This Is The End was the hardest I laughed in the theater that year. Similar to that film, this film has a premise so crazy/stupid that only they can pull it off and make it hilarious. The trailer doesn’t show too much – I’d rather have this than be overloaded with jokes that are the only funny parts of the movie – but does include some moments that had me laughing out loud. I’m always down for something from Rogen and Goldberg, and I have faith they will deliver another film that will have me crying laughing.
The Interview is directedstars James Franco, Seth Rogen, Lizzy Caplan and Randall Park. The film will be released Oct. 10, 2014. Check out the trailer and poster below.

Whatever brings us closer to the film about the making of The Room.
