Say what you will about Nic Cage, but nobody else can pull off what he does. Yes, he stars in plenty of bad films (present company included), but nobody else will commit to them so much to elevate them from trainwreck to entertaining camp. Nobody can be simultaneously awful and amazing like Cage can. Today sees the release of the trailer for Outcast, which finds him playing a soldier from the Crusades who teams up with his old comrade (Hayden Christensen, yes he’s still acting) to protect the rightful heir to the Chinese throne.
Cage is one of the only actors I will pay to watch in bad films, and the fact he’s doing an awful British accent here only makes me more excited somehow. There’s no question that the Chinese market is the top one for international film sales, and Cage is hopping on that train. Outcast stars Nicolas Cage, Hayden Christensen, Yifei Liu, Fernando Chien, Andy On and Byron Lawson. You can get your Cage on when the film is released Feb. 27th, 2015. Check out the trailer and poster below.

Ok, I’m going to add this to my WIP list of the Least Anticipated Films of 2015.
