Today sees the release of the trailer for Fury, the new WWII Tank drama from David Ayer. Taking place at the end of the war, it follows a Sherman tank commanded by Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) as he and his 5 man crew make a final push against the Germans behind enemy lines.
David Ayer is one of the weirdest directors working in the studio circuit right now. He’s made some incredibly zany films (Sabotage, Street Kings) to gritty impressive cop dramas (End of Watch, writing on Training Day) to films somewhere in between (Harsh Times). The thing about him is that he’s swinging for the fences every time, so when he hits a home run – boy does hit that home run. He’s rounded up an incredible cast of some of my favorite working actors for Fury, and I have confidence he’ll clear the yard with Fury as it will be one of my most anticipated films of this year.
Fury is released on Nov. 14th and stars Brad Pitt, Michael Peña, Shia Labeouf, Jon Bernthal, Logan Lerman and Jason Isaacs. Check out the trailer and poster below.
