Watching the NFL draft is reserved for the most fanatic of football enthusiasts, but the drama involved is rife with possibility. Lifelong dreams are realized, terrible franchises can be saved, and an entire city’s hopes can be revived all with one selection. But if you waste that shot it could not only mean a bad season but the end of your professional life.
Ivan Reitman hasn’t had a big hit since the Ghostbusters films, but he knows how to shoot a picture. Add Kevin Costner in the midst of a career renaissance and this project has the potential to be a sleeper hit much like The Blind Side.
