The first trailer for Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac has been released and its about what you would expect.
Nymphomaniac follows Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg) on her illustrious sexual escapades from birth to the age of 50. She’s a self-proclaimed Nymphomaniac and her habits have led her down some interesting adventures. One evening, Seligman (Stellan Skarsgård) finds Joe beaten up. While he tends to her wounds, she recounts her life in 8 different chapters.
Lars Von Trier is always at the fore-front of controversy and this extremely NSFW trailer only continues that trend. It showcases the depravity and lust of Joe’s many experiences. No, we are not talking simple F-bombs or excessive violence. What this trailer does offer is ample nudity, multiple sexual acts, and a subliminal image of a vagina.
Magnolia Pictures is releasing the film in the US and Nymphomaniac features quite the eclectic mix of actors. Outside of Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skarsgård, the film also stars: Stacy Martin, Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell, Christian Slater, Uma Thurman, Willem Dafoe, and Connie Nielsen. While there is currently no firm date for release, this sexual epic is sure to turn heads when it finally hits cinemas.
