Wes Anderson’s latest creation, The Grand Budapest Hotel, is another intricate and ornate cross-section into a world that normal people don’t have the privilege of visiting. This Europe of the past, a sprawling and magnificent hotel set in the 1900s before the onset of World War I, combines the whimsical world of Anderson’s usual creations with a touch of actual history.
While there’s still a bit of time before the film premieres in the United States, 10 new photos, courtesy of The Playlist, are allowing us a glimpse into the hotel’s innermost workings before check-in time. Featuring Tilda Swinton and some masterful age makeup, her lover Ralph Fiennes, his protegĂ© Tony Revolori, his love Saoirse Ronan, Swinton’s lackies Willem Dafoe and Adrien Brody and a mustachioed Jeff Goldblum and a cat, The Grand Budapest Hotel seems like another hit on Anderson’s hands.
The Grand Budapest Hotel opens March 7th.
